A la vie, à la mort / Burkina Faso
Deux prisonniers : un condamné à mort, un à perpétuité. L’un est résigné àmourir, l’autre est persuadé qu’il doit l’y aider et va s’y employer durant toute lapièce, avec détermination et humour. La cellule de 4m2 devient métaphore des relations internationales, l’exiguïté et la rareté de l’air servant de base à desconsidérations sur la gestion de la couche d’ozone mais aussi sur l’amour, la mort,la religion… Etienne Minoungou nous livre que « Ecrire sur ’enfermement, c’est aller à la recherche du véritable territoire où peut s’exercer pleinement notre besoin de liberté...La mort est la limite de ce territoire.
Ecrire sur l’amitié est une belle façon de croire en l’homme même au seuil de la mort. Reprendre ce travail (que j’avais exploré avec mon ami Alexis Guiengani il y a 10 ans) avec Bienvenu Bonkian dans une collaboration artistique avec Amadou Bourou en 2008 , n’est rien d’autre que cette quête de sens qu’entreprend toujours le poète entre rire et larmes, entre réalisme et fantaisie... » Bienvenu Bonkian est aveugle, la direction d’acteurs s’est donc centrée sur un travail sur l’espace, la présence du partenaire de jeu et l’écoute.

Alif NAABA, is originally from KonkiisTenga, a village in the Center-West region of Burkina Faso. Nurtured from infancy in the musical universe of his mother, a singer, Alif Naaba also dedicated himself to a life as a musician. He appeared to the public in Burkina Faso with his first album REGARDS MÉTIS (MONGREL GLANCE.)
Alif Naaba has become, in just a few years, an essential figure in the musical landscapes of Burkina Faso and Africa. His reputation was secured with the release of his second album FOO in 2005, which sold several thousand copies.Alif Naaba offers us his own unique music, born of the heritage given him by his singer mother, who cradeled him throughout his childhood with her songs. « My music comes from this special intimacy – the secret intimacy between a mother and her son. Today, my music is created from all of my experiences, from my Mossi roots, from my encounter with rythmes from far away. It has developed with percussion and Kora, along with the spice of melodic influences both Mossi and West African. »
